Editorial Guidelines

Every article on Concrete Cutting Pro follows these principles:

Evidence-based recommendations. We recommend products on data we can check: manufacturer specifications, live listing data we re-check monthly, OSHA's own text for safety rules, and the Amazon customer reviews on each listing. We do no field testing. Blade-life figures are planning estimates, labeled as such on the page, because no manufacturer publishes one for these blades.

Full disclosure. Matt Lipman is a Virginia Abrasives board member. This relationship is disclosed on every article that mentions VA products. We believe transparency builds trust — hiding a financial relationship would undermine everything this site stands for.

Multi-brand coverage. We cover blades and tools from Virginia Abrasives, Husqvarna, MK Diamond, Stihl, DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, and other manufacturers. We don't limit recommendations to VA products.

Accuracy over simplicity. Concrete cutting involves real physics — bond hardness, RPM ratings, segment geometry. We explain the why, not just the what. If an explanation requires technical detail, we include it.

No AI-generated filler. Every article is reviewed for accuracy and practical relevance. We'd rather publish one useful article than ten generic ones.
