What the specifications say
Fourteen inches by .125 inch, 1-inch arbor with 20mm bushing, 10mm laser-welded segments, described by VA as a tough grit design built for long blade life, wet or dry. VA’s own site lists it as a medium-hard bond for asphalt and concrete. No Amazon ratings on the listing at the time we checked.
What we can and cannot tell you
Two facts sit oddly together, and we are going to name them rather than smooth them over. This is VA’s top-ranked 14-inch blade, and it carries shorter segments, 10mm, than two cheaper ones in the same range, the Basic Diamond and the Medium Bond, both at 12mm.
That isn’t automatically a contradiction. Segment height sets how much diamond you have to wear through; diamond concentration and grit quality set how well each millimetre cuts and how long it stays sharp. A blade with better diamond in shorter segments can outlast a taller cheap one. But none of that is published, there are no reviews to check it against, and we haven’t run the blade. So the honest position is that VA’s tier ranking implies a quality claim we cannot presently verify.
Who should consider it
Crews that alternate between cured concrete and asphalt during the same work and value not swapping blades. That convenience is real and it has a cost, because a bond covering two opposite substrates can’t be optimal for either. If your work is mostly one substrate, a matched blade is the better economics — the Ultra Value for cured concrete, the BD Asphalt / Green Concrete for asphalt and fresh pours.

Can one blade really cut both concrete and asphalt well? ▼
It can cut both. Whether it does either as well as a matched blade is the real question, and physics says it is a compromise. Cured concrete rewards a medium bond; asphalt is soft and abrasive and rewards a hard bond. A blade covering both has to sit between those, which means giving up some life on each substrate in exchange for not swapping blades. For crews who genuinely alternate on the same day, that trade can be worth it. For single-substrate work it is not.
Why does it have 10mm segments when cheaper VA blades have 12mm? ▼
We do not know. Segment height is one input to blade life, not the whole of it: diamond concentration, grit quality, and bond chemistry all matter and none appear on the listing. VA ranks the Supreme line as its professional tier, above Premium, which points to diamond quality rather than segment height. We are stating what the listings show rather than resolving it.
